Our wedding website is up!

FINALLY! We completed our wedding website and is now running. Check out:

**Edit- here's a  photo that I enhanced...
(by making it black & white with just green leis around our necks!)

It's not 100% done (still need to do RSVP, the registry, etc)

We're ecstatic and cannot wait for our special day to occur.

166 days to go!

Man, the last time I updated on here was last February! That's like 8-9 months ago. Yikes! Guess I've been busy. I need to blog more often.... sighs... I really like my other blog which is http://breezesea.blogspot.com and but I think xanga isn't bad either... the only reason I like blogspot is it has RSS feed, which can be placed into google reader. I don't know about xanga, though?

*Edit* Ahh - I'm mistaken!  Xanga DOES have RSS feed.... so just simply sign up with google.com/reader and it can retrieve your favorite websites' news feed, even bloggers' entries and read everything at ONCE. It's much easier so I highly recommend doing that... if you need help, I'll be happy to do so. In the meantime, I'll see if I take your RSS feed links (which I believe it has to be public not private entries) into my google reader so I can finally catch up on your blog! ;)

Otherwise, here's a happy me with my engagement ring. Steve proposed me on the islands of Hawaii (Maui) - it could not just be more perfect. I've detailed about more about it over at my blogpost. Feel free to read the details.

That is the original ring that Steve gave me when we were in Maui-- but he said I could upgrade it if I wanted to. Of course, at first I said no because I didn't want to change the ring since it was all him who picked it out.. but when we went to the jewelry store to resize the ring and I was so tempted. He just smiled and said go ahead and take a different one! It took me nearly 2 hours to finally decide after looking at different rings and just decided to stick with the original look expect that there were more additional diamonds on the side. Right now my current ring has the original ring's distinct look to it... I'm very happy with the result! :)

Oh btw, we haven't decided on the date just yet!

Updates

Ahh... it has been months since I last posted on here. Everything is going great... busy busy as usual... in case you didn't know, I'm a Head Coach for the Rally Squad at Oregon School for Deaf. I'm so proud of the girls - they all are wonderful and talented! Be sure to look for us at WSBC/WSCC tournament early next year in Riverside!

Here's several photos of them (and me) at WSD vs OSD football game. As you can see, I'm even using OSD's color (gold & yellow) fonts for this entry.

And yes, people keep THINKING that I am still one of the High Schoolers! I graduated EXACTLY 10 years ago. Well, I am flattered.. and what's more, I will turn BIG 3-0 this summer!

Enjoy and I'll TRY to update on here when I can!

And oh, we won... 56 to 8!

Sunday, June 25, 2006

Okay, I am going to try another blog - it's breezesea.blogspot.com. But I'll continue to blog on here when I feel like it. As for using blogspot, I'll probably share my insights, thoughts and feelings... like what I think of what's going on in the society, what the everyday life is like in different parts of the world and so forth. As you can imagine, there are many things that we continue to learn everyday. For blogging on here - I think I'll gear towards personal (posting pictures on here, what I have been doing lately, etc). The entries on here will be public... because I don't want to pay for friends-only entries if I don't plan to blog much.

Anyway, it's been HOT all weekend! The degree was 84 last Friday, approximiately 94 yesterday AND it was reported that it will be 99-101 today and tomorrow!! Eep! Well, let's see if the weatherman is going to be right. It's a good thing that my office has AC when I go back to work tomorrow. But it's no fun being cooped up inside all day with all of the sun out there while I could have doing something fun now that it's summer. I had a meeting out of the city last week and was driving by one of Oregon's famous landmarks - Silver Falls
. The last time I went there was when I was a YLC camper way, WAY back in 1994. How could I have NOT gone there! There are SO many places that I need to visit - Oregon's famous Rose Garden, Crater Lake (it has hot springs - whoo!), and many, many beaches that I want to visit (Cannon Beach, Seaside, Tillamook, etc!). I know there are so many places that I need to visit in Oregon. It's hard to believe that I just marked TWO years of living here in Oregon, so that's no excuse for not checking out many places as I could have. I still remember the day I moved here exactly two years ago in June 2004. Steve and I were driving cross the country for the final time - leaving the east for real with our two cats. Time is definitely getting faster as we get older.

Anyway, here's several pictures of me, my honey and wonderful friends Ben, Shelley and their kiddos (I just adore them!) in Newport and Lincoln City the past weekend. We had a great time there as we ate at Newport's yummy seafood restaurant, Kyllo's. But damn, the wind was to strong. The sand kept hitting on us and when we laid down, the sand kept getting in our face. Ugh. :) Anyway, enjoy!

Immensly enjoying walking by the beach - it's always
been one of my favorite things to do to this day

Kailea & Akira

Sorry, Shel - had to post this one because this is just a great picture!

Adorable Mariko & Akira (they were in the baby stroller
to avoid the sand & strong wind!)

Better view of the baby stroller that the kiddos were in

It's a BIG kite we've seen that day
(The Kyllos restaurant probably put it up)

Ben & Steve gave up doing the kite-flying
because the wind was so STRONG

Sorry, guys!
